Calvin Klein store hits Melbourne
Calvin Klein Underwear has unveiled its latest freestanding store in Melbourne's Chadstone Shopping Centre.
The first in the southern hemisphere, the 61.8 square metre store, which opened last month, reflects the global design aesthetic seen in all Calvin Klein stores globally.
Incorporating the latest Calvin Klein designs, the boutique showcases the brands complete underwear and sleepwear offering for both men and women.
Calvin Klein Underwear divisional manager Paul Sweet said the branded store allowed the company to focus on direct marketing and showcase the label as a whole.
"Often [stocked] in single gender stores or areas of department stores, we are unable to pull together the entire Calvin Klein Underwear offering in the one space. This store allows us to enhance and aid the brand at a local level."
Believing it's important to have key fashion locations around the world, Sweet said Calvin Klein sees Melbourne as an important fashion city globally.
Situated next to other high-end fashion brands within the Chadstone Centre, including Zimmerman, Bettina Liano and Polo Ralph Lauren, the new Calvin Klein Underwear store joins the company's 23 freestanding international boutiques in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Sweet said the brand had no immediate plans to open more Calvin Klein stores in Australia.
