Brazilian swimwear company V i X International is set to increase its Australian presence with the launch of a domestically registered company for the brand.
Called V i X Australia, the new business is a subsidiary of Sydney-based wholesale group Allegro Australia. A specific website for V i X Australia will be launched later this year.
Allegro Australia co-director Vittoria Hall first secured the Australian distribution rights to V i X International and its sister labels, Hermanny and Sophia, in September last year. Hall said the label has since secured a number of stockists, particularly in Broome, the Sunshine Coast and Sydney. It is also available on e-commerce sites Trixian Body, Intimate Couture and Love Fashion.
Designed in Brazil by Paula Hermanny, two collections are created each year. The V i X International range is the premium line and retails from $238 to $290, depending on the level of embellishment.
The Hermanny collection caters to a more mature customer, with prices from $180 to $220. The Sophia range has a younger, sexier edge and retails at around $160 a piece.
Hall has embarked on a public relations drive to help get the labels recognised in Australia, with print and television the main focus.
