MELBOURNE: The organisers of Fashion Exposed are behind the launch of a new fair for the fashion, accessories and homewares industries.
Australian Exhibitions and Conferences (AEC) has announced the launch of the Australian International Sourcing Fair (AISF), to be held at Melbourne Exhibition Centre from November 17 to 19, 2010.
The new fair is designed to link Australian businesses with high-volume manufacturers and wholesalers from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Indonesia and Thailand.
With the AISF to be held alongside the China Clothing and Textiles Expo, visitors will also be able to visit suppliers from China.
AEC said AISF was created in response to demand from the Australian fashion, accessories and homewares sectors for quality manufacturing and wholesaling opportunities.
They revealed the fair would showcase bags, beads, trimmings and fabric suppliers alongside men's, women's and childrenswear manufacturers and wholesalers. Producers and suppliers of workwear, leather goods and 'green' materials will round out the exhibitor list.
Exhibitors will also showcase new manufacturing capabilities as well as a comprehensive range of services.
