SYDNEY: Australian pearl company Paspaley has cemented its presence in the Asian retail market with a new flagship store.
This week the luxury label will open a 200 square metre site on Canton Road in Hong Kong.
It will join brands such as Cartier, Tiffany and Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, Rolex and Piaget on the strip.
The new store will be located in the home of an 1881 heritage building which was originally occupied by the Hong Kong Marine Police.
The interior of the store has been modelled on Paspaley's Sydney flagship, with a marine inspired design, marble floors and private viewing rooms part of the scheme.
Hand-finished timber jewellery cabinets fit underneath a three metre gold-leaf ceiling dome.
The boutique is Paspaley’s second in Asia – the first opened in Hong Kong in 2007.
Paspaley was established over twenty years ago and also has four stores in Dubai, one in Abu Dhabi and four in Australia.
