NATIONAL: Big W has recalled a children's garment after uncovering a safety hazard related to the product's fasteners.
The national discount department store issued a recall for jumpsuits branded as Dymples Terry Coveralls. The garment was available in Big W stores from early June 2010 in nine different colours.
The reason for the recall was the discovery the press studs on the garment may become loose during fastening or opening. While Big W said no injuries had been reported, the loose studs represent a choking hazard to young children.
Big W offered a refund for any returned garments and apologised to customers for the inconvenience caused.
In October 2009 the retailer was forced to recall a range of children's sleepwear after revelations it has been incorrectly labelled as low fire danger.
