Designer unisex brand Rittenhouse is preparing to launch a luxury basics line, with stock items available for purchase throughout the entire year.

The ‘Forever’ line will start at $80 for bamboo jersey tanks, followed by $140 for silk-blend tees, $180 for jersey pants and $240 for Japanese selvedge denim skinny jeans. A majority of the collection will be made in Australia, while bamboo jersey items will be produced in Vietnam.

Rittenhouse founders Sally McDonald and Micah Hamdorf said the venture will complement recent collaborations with artistic pair Husmann/Tschaeni, allowing consumers to offset bold prints and styles with basic trans-seasonal garments.

“These essential styles have always been everyone’s favourite wardrobe items,” McDonald said. “The things that you wore and wore and the things we received emails about constantly, people needing one in every colour and people trying to replace that old favourite button hoody that they lost. This season we felt it was about time to give these pieces some more love and really focus on getting a great selection that people can buy all year round rather than being disappointed when they sell out first week of the season.”

Rittenhouse is stocked in 80 stores worldwide, including local designer meccas Blood Orange, The Corner Shop, Incu and Capital L.
