The Australian Shoe Fair is just around the corner. Erin O’Loughlin profiles some of the labels that will be on show for the first time.


Tilly Rose
Launched in 2008, Tilly Rose is a trend-driven label with around 60 styles on offer for its winter 2011 range, including signature flat boots and over-the-knee boots. Low height ‘lady heels’, platform-soled heels and ballerina flats are also on offer. The colour palette focuses on natural hues while materials include leather and pony fur. Rivets and heavy studs feature on select styles and price points range from $110 to over $400. Made in China.


See Kai Run
Stocked in over 25 countries and 1200 stores in the US alone, See Kai Run is a six-year-old shoe label for babies and toddlers. Made of soft leather with velcro straps and flexible soles, all designs are approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association, with prices starting at $54.95. Both summer and winter styles will be presented at the fair.


Annapelle
Long-established footwear brand Annapelle will showcase 12 styles at the fair, with corporate shoes, court shoes, ballet flats and pointy-toe styles in natural shades such as bone and pewter. Red and black patent leather also feature as do trims such as metal buckles and brooch-style gems. Most styles feature full-grain, kid skin leather lining. Annapelle is currently stocked by department stores Myer and David Jones.



Miz Mooz
Boutique New York brand Miz Mooz will celebrate its local launch at the Australian Shoe Fair with 120 samples from its summer 2010/11 and winter 2011 ranges.Styles include flats, mid-height heels, low-cut ankle boots and knee-high boots, while cognac brown and classic black dominate the winter colour palette. Hand-made in Asia and Mexico with non-slip rubber soles and leather uppers, prices for the range start from $139 to $199.


Studio TMLS
Hot off the plane from Brazil is women’s shoe label Studio TMLS. Some 60 different styles will be offered at the fair, many of which have a matte finish. Colours include taupe, green and grey and styles include flats, boots and high heels, including the popular platform sole. The range is predominantly leather with synthetic heels measuring an average of 10cm. The shoes are manufactured in Brazil and retail for an average of $200.


Livie & Luca
Sydney childrenswear retailer Michelle Davis is the new importer of kids footwear label Livie & Luca. Designed in the US and made in Mexico from soft leathers, the winter 2011 range includes bright colours such as pink and red with added warm tones of tan and brown. The hero product for the season is the closed-toe ‘Bloom’ shoe, featuring a bright flower on the toes and a velcro strap to keep feet secure. Prices range from $74.95 to $79.99, and sizes span kids’ four to 13.
