Young fashion chain Bardot has unveiled the first of its new look retail stores, at the MidCity development in central Sydney.

Bardot managing director Basil Artemides said the design moves on from the brand’s monochromatic store look to introduce vivid yellow detailing, which was once representative of the label.

“It is brand new, a really new direction for Bardot from its traditional set up,” he said. “We have refreshed Bardot a few times over the years but this is quite a big departure. It is a lot more modern.”

The Melbourne-based brand runs 37 stores nationally and the new look will be implemented as each store comes up for refurbishment.

In addition to new interiors, the stores will see a tighter inventory of product, which Artemides said is the result of improved internal processes and quality control measures.
