NATIONAL: Burgeoning high street retail chain Bardot has announced plans to open its first childrenswear boutique.
The store, located in Melbourne's Chadstone Shopping Centre, will throw open its doors at the end of next month.
The opening of the Bardot Junior outlet, with a girlswear line previously only available via department store Myer, co-incides with the launch of a new boys clothing range.
Bardot chief executive Basil Artemides said the Beau by Bardot Junion collection, targeted at little men aged up to eight, would also be available at selected Myer stores from August 31.
The news is the second major announcement by the group in as many months after it stated its intention to diversify into the menswear sector with its James Marlon brand next month.
