NATIONAL: Nominations are open for the 2010 Australian Retail Awards, with a new category added to this year's program.
An initiative of the Australian Retailers Association (ARA), the annual program aim to recognise the retail sector's best performers as well as its achievements and innovations.
In 2010, the ARA has added Graduate of the Year to its list of award categories. Nominations are also sought for longstanding categories Australian Retailer of the Year, Australian Independent Retailer of the Year, Australian Retail Innovation of the Year and Australian Young Retailer of the Year.
Fashion retailers large and small are encouraged to nominate themselves in the awards. Last year's Australian Retailer of the Year was fashion chain store Country Road.
Nominations open and close at different times for different categories, with national winners due to be announced in September. Interested applicants can visit www.australianretailawards.com.au for more information.
