NATIONAL: The Berlei Group and high-profile swimwear brand Azzollini are among a contingent of Australian companies headed to Hong Kong Mode Lingerie in April.

Emerging Melbourne-based brand Bonvent said it hoped to source organic fabrications at its first visit to the trade event while Berlei, a Pacific Brands owned and operated lingerie label, is understood to be a regular attendee of the show.

High-profile international delegates included Abercrombie & Fitch, H&M, Triumph, Victoria's Secret, Vanity Fair, La Perla, Chantelle and Marks & Spencer.

Despite tough economic conditions, Eurovet claimed online registrations from lingerie manufacturers had increased from 40 per cent last year to 90 per cent. Department stores had also jumped from 3 per cent to 18 per cent while specialty chain registrations rose from 4 per cent to 29 per cent.

Organised by lingerie and beachwear trade show giant Eurovet, the third instalment would be staged at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 7 to 8. Over 150 exhibitors from France, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan and Italy were preparing to showcase a range of fabrics, laces, embroideries and accessories for lingerie and swim brands.

The trade show would also offer an extensive program of seminars and conferences, including a trends forum titled 'Keys of Seduction' and a presentation on the latest business intelligence and technologies.
