NATIONAL: Nine Australian fashion brands will receive the cold treatment when they take part in the second stage of G'Day USA tomorrow.

The Australian-themed trade show is set to land in the chilly city of New York from January 20 to 22, following a similar four day showcase in Los Angeles. Brands such as Metalicus, Wish, Ae'lkemi and Urban Originals will wind up their exhibition stands at the Los Angeles Fashion Market tomorrow, after displaying their collections in a specially branded Australian showcase.

Metalicus and Ae'lkemi will then join 11 brands such as Adamo Fashions, Katelyn Aslett, Konstantina Mittas and Be Seduced in a wholesale fashion showroom in New York. Presented by not-for-profit organisation Australian Wool Innovation, the showcase required all brands to utilise at least 50 per cent Australian merino wool in their collections.

Industry buyers from Barneys, Barneys Coop and Henri Bendel attended last year's New York showcase along with high-profile fashion publications Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Marie Claire, In Style and Women's Wear Daily.
