SYDNEY: Nobody Denim, Therese Rawsthorne and Ksubi have received an international tick of approval, with each in the running for a prestigious industry award.

European industry magazine Sportswear International has nominated a number of brands across a variety of categories for its 2010 fashion awards program.

Melbourne-based Nobody Denim has been listed in the category of Best Denim for the second year running, alongside Sydney label Ksubi and a range of international brands.

Therese Rawsthorne is among the nominees in the category of Best Fashion, while emerging Australian label Flannel is up for Best Newcomer.

In the footwear division, Australian labels Ugg Australia and Marsu Homme are in the mix of possible winners.

Readers are able to vote for their preferred labels via an online poll until July 31. The top five most popular brands from each category will be shortlisted and announced in Sportswear International’s August 13 issue.

An international judging panel will assess the finalists, with winners announced in November.

Sportswear International focuses on denim, sportswear, casual, sophisticated and contemporary fashion. The magazine launched the awards in 2000.
