SYDNEY: Organisers of the Australian Shoe Fair (ASF) have unveiled a number of new exhibitors and events at the upcoming Sydney edition.
Taking place from February 13 to 15 at Sydney Exhibition Centre, ASF will play host to newcomers including kids label Naturino, the iconic Birkenstock brand and Macanna footwear.
Focusing on technical footwear to ensure stability and safety for children's feet, Naturino shoes feature soft supports and flexible soles to guarantee correct muscle development, while Birkenstock's ASF offering will include a new rock inspired sub range designed by Bon Jovi drummer Ticco Torres.
Combining 'Rock 'n' Roll' detailing with Birkenstock comfort, the range features black leather, suede, studs and Swarovski crystals.
Meanwhile, eco friendly label Macanna shoes are dyed naturally and without chemical coatings, making a virtue of natural defects like insect bores, blood splotches, scratches and punctures.
Two free Retail Workshops will also be running during the fair. Designed to guide retailers in effective purchasing and merchandising decisions, the workshops will address two key issues: visual merchandising to sell 30 per cent more and picking the right product mix to maximise profits.
