NATIONAL: Category winners in the Oracle Australian Retailers Association Awards have been announced, ahead of the grand final on September 21.
Womenswear brand TS14+ is the clothing and footwear category winner. The company focuses on plus size apparel and has 100 retail stores across Australia and New Zealand. It also has concession spaces in selected Myer department stores.
The department store category was won by David Jones. Specialty retailing was won by stationary company Smiggle, while music store JB HiFi won the househood goods division.
Category winners were decided via a national retail industry online vote.
The overall winner for 2010 will be announced at an ARA Retail Awards breakfast on September 21 at the Sydney Exhibition and Conference Centre.
Other awards, including the Australian Young Retailer of the Year, the Australian Independent Retailer of the Year, the Charter Security Australian Retail Innovator of the Year and Australian Retail Graduate of the Year will also be announced at the breakfast.
