PERTH: More than 20 years after creating her first fashion label, things have come full circle for Antipodium director Fenella Peacock.
The West Australian designer has launched another womenswear label, this time with a focus on easy-care luxurious travelwear.
It is the latest venture for Peacock who first came to prominence in the 1980s with her debut label, Empire Line. More recently Peacock has devoted her energies to womenswear label Antipodium, where she is co-director alongside Geoffrey J. Finch and sister Ashe Peacock.
The new eponymous label is an additional project for Peacock who will continue to work on Antipodium.
Fenella Peacock's debut collection features relaxed basics and separates designed to require little ironing.
Key pieces include cotton t-shirts and loose-fitting dresses, as well as 1950s style bodices and skirts. Among the hero pieces of the collection is the 'Atlas' smoking jacket, made from sheer black organza with white cotton backing and black ribbon trim.
Other fabrics in the collection include crumpled printed organza, silks and organic cotton jerseys.
Sizes in the collection range from one to five and price points start at $89. Simple jersey dresses start at $140 while silk dresses with an accompanying slip retail for $420.
The label has already secured a number of stockists including Pretty Dog (NSW), Blondies (VIC), Meow Meow and Fallow (QLD), Aqua (SA) and Elle, Billie & Rose (WA).
Fenella Peacock is the daughter of Australian knitwear designer Libby Peacock
