Fashion-forward retailer Cue has confirmed it is working with one of the hottest talents in the local fashion industry.

Well placed industry sources told Ragtrader that designer Dion Lee was collaborating on a range with the national fashion chain.

The range would comprise of Lee’s signature sculptured tailoring, an aesthetic which has seen him garner unprecedented press coverage locally and internationally, as well as the 2010 L’Oreal Fashion Festival Design Award in March.

When contacted by Ragtrader, Cue marketing executive Kirsty Brockhoff confirmed Lee was working with the company but remained coy on talks of a collaboration.

“Dion has been introduced by a mutual friend and has been coming in to gain experience and insight into how a large fashion company operates,” she said. “If anything develops with Dion Lee I will be sure to let you know.”

Cue Clothing Company operates the Cue and Veronika Maine stores across Australia, with distribution through department stores Myer and David Jones respectively.
