The label, operated in Australia by Genesis-World, opened its first store at Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne on October 1. Another six domestic stores are scheduled to launch within the next three years.
The first of the stores, which will be split across Sydney and Melbourne, will open in Sydney next year at a yet undisclosed location. Another store will follow at Bourke St Mall in Melbourne in early 2013, with the remaining four stores to roll out during 2013 and 2014.
According to Genesis-World brand and communications director May Yoon, all outlets will follow the design aesthetic seen in 600 AD stores globally, with product in-store to mirror international collections, including AD Man and Woman. She said AD is also looking to bolster its product offering with the launch of two new lines in the coming months, aimed at the children’s and young adult market.
“Sales are expected to grow by 25 per cent per annum through stores expansion and brand awareness,” she said.
