Online savvy fashion retailers may soon be taking advantage of a new 3D software system that has arrived in Australia.
Sydney-based Hula Hoop Studios is targeting the nation’s retailers with its latest offering that allows online shoppers to view items with the aid of 360 and 3D imagery.
Co-director Tony Hill said through their European partners, it is the first time Australia has seen technology that can provide high volume and ‘significantly’ higher quality reproduction at a competitive price bracket.
“The 360 and 3D imagery gives an online experience like no other, it provides online shoppers with the chance to explore every angle of a product and make a more educated purchase evaluation - which in turn should give weight to better online conversions,” Hill said.
Hill, who plans on approaching Australia’s top online fashion company’s with the concept, said the facility aims to improve customer engagement and confidence as it provides the best possible view of the product.
“Quality images influence purchasers with the perception of a trustworthy, high integrity brand, product or service and this is particularly ideal for fashion retailers.”
Hill said it is only a matter of time before all online retailers realise that consumers want more from the images they see online, before parting with their cash.
“Online retailers would be mad not to have something like this on their website as it’s vital to keep up with the evolving online product offering.” Hill, and business partner Daniel Nortje, both have extensive backgrounds in photography.
Retailers have the photos taken at the studio and once the software installed all they need to do is upload the images.
“As well as photographic services we will soon be able to provide solutions to companies who are looking to execute this type of solution in house,” Hill said.
