Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research Senator Kim Carr said small businesses could apply for grants of up to $50, 000 for mentoring, marketing, branding, supply chain, e-commerce and export projects.
"This program is about boosting the competitiveness of smaller Australian designers and manufacturers in their domestic and overseas markets."
The previous round of grants saw $50, 000 injected into womenswear label Ginger and Smart, $21, 500 into menswear brand Frisoni Finetti, $20, 792 to couture designer Daniel Avakian and $43, 500 to Nina Maya. A total of 71 businesses were offered grants.
