In collaboration with Australian licensing firm, Merchantwise Licensing, Walnut Melbourne has launched a children's footwear and apparel line to celebrate 100 years of the May Gibbs classic, Tales of Sungglepot and Cuddlepie.

The collection is made up of 36 items including girls, boys and baby shoes as well as children's apparel and accessories.

The canvas shoes showcase the May Gibbs folklore and form part of Walnut Melbourne's Resort 2018 collection.

May Gibbs passed away in 1969 and bequeathed 50% of the copyright to her works to the Nothcott Society – a not-for-profit disability service provider – and the other 50% to Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

Proceeds from May Gibbs products have supported countless Australian kids with a disability and the proceeds from sales of the May Gibbs X Walnut Melbourne collection will also go to these organisations.

The footwear range is priced at $19.95 for the 'mini' styles and $34.95 for the 'classic' styles and is available now on both the May Gibbs and Walnut Melbourne websites.
