The final issue of Cleo magazine has hit newstands after 44 years in print.
Cleo announced its closure earlier this year, with greater investment slated for sister brand Dolly and a digital-first approach.
The final cover stars model Jesinta Campbell and replicates the first edition from 1972.
The magazine cover line reads: “We farewell 44 years of sass, bachelors, sex and centrefolds”.
Cleo recently celebrated its history with a ‘wake’ at Sydney’s Woollahra Hotel that saw Lisa Wilkinson, Mia Freedman, Sharri Markson, Paula Joye and founding editor Ita Buttrose farewell the magazine.
