Witchery has revealed its official ambassador for its annual White Shirt campaign as olympic athlete Morgan Mitchell.

The campaign, which is run in partnership with the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) is in its 12th year of fundraising with Witchery contributing over $13 million to the cause.

The campaign aims to raise much needed funds to support research endeavours to develop an early detection test for ovarian cancer and make such tests as readily available and habitual as a pap smear or mammogram.

For every White Shirt sold, Witchery will donate 100% of the gross proceeds to the OCRF.

Witchery MD Simon Schofield said that the business is incredibly proud to support the organisation.

"We are proud of Witchery’s longstanding partnership with the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.

"To date, Witchery has contributed over $13 million to the OCRF who are incredibly focused on finding an early detection test," he said.

OCRF CEO Lucinda Nolan said that an early detection test will go a long way to save lives.

"Over 50% of the community incorrectly believe a pap test diagnoses ovarian cancer.

"This has ultimately led to ovarian cancer being the leading cause of death of all gynaecological cancers.

"We must find an early detection to save lives," she said.

Mitchell added that she was thrilled to be named the 2020 ambassador for the campaign.

"I am incredibly humbled to be a white shirt campaign ambassador for 2020 alongside inspiring women from all walks of life.

"It is important to me to be a positive role model and spread as much awareness as possible on the need for an early detection test for ovarian cancer through my ambassador role," she said.

The White Cotton Shirt will be available on the Witchery website from May 6 and will retail for $129.95.

A member preview will go online from May 5.
