The Galeries group marketing manager Taryn McGurk has every reason to ramp up this commitment.

The boutique shopping complex has scooped a major win at the Asia Pacific Shopping Centre Awards 2016.

The Awards, staged by The International Council of Shopping Centres, recognise the region's most innovative centres.

The Galeries’ Artists Playground was a Gold Award winner in the Public Relations and Events category.

In March 2016, the Sydney CBD retail precinct transformed into a living gallery of street art.

The campaign was part of Art Month Sydney, featuring an installation aptly named, The Artists’ Playground.

The retail precinct was transformed into an interactive platform for emerging street artists, illustrators, performance artists and designers.

McGurk said the company is thrilled by the win.
