Japanese retailer Uniqlo has confirmed the opening date for its fifth Victorian store at Highpoint Shopping Centre
It will open at Highpoint Shopping Centre, in Melbourne’s Western suburb of Maribyrnong, on December 14 at 10.00am.
The site will offer shoppers in Melbourne’s western suburbs a full line-up of apparel for men, women, kids and babies in time for Christmas.
Uniqlo Australia COO Kenji Tsuji said the new store is due to customer feedback.
“We’ve seen such high demand for a Uniqlo store at Highpoint Shopping Centre, so we are thrilled that we are able to make this happen for customers before the busy Christmas and summer period..
The opening date also marks the launch of Uniqlo’s new range of Star Wars UT T-shirts, coinciding with the launch of the new Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie.
Visitors to Highpoint on the day of opening will be among the first in Australia to shop the new collection.
The store will be situated alongside a range of international and Australian brands and will cover a sales area of 867 square metres. It will also create more than 100 jobs for residents in the local community.
Uniqlo Highpoint will mark the retailer’s 14th store in Australia.
