Online fashion giant Yoox has teamed up with We Are Handsome and the Great Barrier Reef Foundation as part of a new preservation project.

Yoox Net-A-Porter Group has a market capitalisation of $3.2 billion.

To celebrate Earth Day 2017, Yoox has approached We Are Handsome to create a six piece capsule collection, with proceeds from the sales going to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, the lead charity for the Great Barrier Reef.

The collection, available on Yoox’s socially and environmentally responsible destination, Yooxygen, will include two one piece styles, two bikinis, leggings and a tee in an exclusive print.

The launch of the collection coincides with the launch of Yoox’s partnership with The New School’s Parsons School of Design. The new partnership will aim to promote sustainable fashion practices through education and collaborations.

Yoox EVP Marketing Miguel Ares said Yoox was proud to be partnered with a brand that shared similar environmental values, noting the importance of protecting the reef.

"We are proud to launch this new initiative that could contribute to the safeguard of the Great Barrier Reef, together with trusted partners such as We Are Handsome and Great Barrier Reef Foundation, who share the same values and enthusiasm towards the cause.”

The collection is now available worldwide on Yoox, within the Yooxygen area.
