The Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF) has announced American supermodel, designer, author and body activist Ashley Graham will appear at the 23rd festival.
Graham made history in February 2016 as the first US size 14 model to ever be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swim.
She said she is committed to creating a 'new normal' ensuring the fashion and beauty industries reflect how diverse the world is.
“Every opportunity where I can talk about how my career has helped evolve the fashion industry, or every time I walk a runway, I'm proving there is a 'new normal.
“We need to continue having these conversations and representation until fashion truly reflects the diverse world that we live in.
“I'm looking forward to sharing my vision and insights at the festival in March.”
The 2019 festival will bring focus to the them 'Power to the Dreamers'.
Graham will walk Runway 4 at VAMFF on Thursday March 7 at 8:30pm.
