Research conducted by the UK Office of National Statistics (ONS) has revealed that across 17 projects involving Australian brands over the past two years has generated $300 million to the UK economy.

Expansion into the region by brands such as Cotton On, Lovisa, Nixon, Element and Windsor Smith has also opened up an estimated 1800 jobs according to the research.

It also reveals that sales are up 6.2% by volume and up 4.1% by value on last August.

In addition eCommerce sales are up 50% per annum on the same period last year.

UK Department of International Trade dealmaker Tony Hughes will jet to Australia in November to scout for innovative brands and technology providers to join the fold and expand to the region.

Hughes will be joined by MySale Group CEO Carl Jackson at the Online Fashion Success event at the University of Technology Sydney who will present insights from its websites including DealsDirect and OzSale.

Online Fashion Success will take place on November 7.
