David Bush has been an iconic part of the fashion industry for decades - Ragtrader looks back on his contributions to the sector after he closes the chapter on David Jones.
Department store David Jones has confirmed Bush was among a spate of redundancies at the department store earlier this year.
UPDATE 15/08/12: David Jones has revealed the move was amicable.
Bush celebrated 25 years with David Jones in May this year, finishing as general manager of womenswear.
He has been responsible for the store's selection of womenswear brands since his appointment and has also had a hand in developing several leading local labels, including Zimmermann, Kirrily Johnston, Thurley, Ginger & Smart, Camilla and Marc and Willow.
Ragtrader magazine published a profile on the icon in its May edition.
