Tommy Hilfiger has stepped up its sustainability commitments, launching its repurposed fall range of Tommy Jeans.

The range which is available in Australia now, has been designed using at least 90% deadstock fabric, rivets from deadstock and re-embossed leather patches.

The line includes denim styles such as tapered jeans, high-rise tapered jeans, a short skirt, a cargo jacket and cropped trucker jackets.

The fall range follows the brand's launch of its first 100% recycled denim line in spring.

In a statement, Tommy Hilfiger said that it has a number of sustainability targets it is working towards.

"Tommy Hilfiger’s vision is to create fashion that opens minds and closes loops.

"As part of this journey, the business’ sustainability strategy covers targets ranging from integrating circularity into its designs and procuring 100% of cotton from more sustainable sources, to manufacturing 50% of its denim products using low impact finishing processes by 2020, and taking an active role in water stewardship."

In 2018 the Tommy Hilfiger business made progress towards its sustainability targets, sourcing 70% of its global cotton volume from more sustainable sources as well as partnering with WWF to train workers at 17 industrial parks in China’s Taihu River Basin on water risks management.

The fall range of Tommy Jeans launched in August online, at Tommy Jeans stores and in select Tommy Hilfiger stores across the globe.
