Australian swimwear label TJ Swim has helped to remove 11 tonnes of sediment from the Great Barrier Reef, thanks to its partnership with i=Change.

The label partnered with the change-making platform to give consumers the option to shop with purpose and has so far raised $1353.00 through the portal.

"With female empowerment and a sustainable future at the core of our company values, we partnered with i=Change to give our customers the opportunity to shop with purpose," founder Tara Jane told Ragtrader.

"$1 from every order is donated to one of three life changing projects that are close to our heart, the customer chooses which charity their donation goes to.

"In just one month we have already impacted over 41 lives and removed 11 tonnes of sediment from the ocean," she said.

The label, which was established out of Jane's parents' laundry, has grown to be loved by celebrities across the globe including Kylie Jenner, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian and Chrissy Teigen.

During COVID-19, despite a drop in travel, TJ Swim has witnessed significant sales especially in June, Jane added.

"TJ Swim has thrived during COVID due to consumers switching predominantly to shopping online.

"We recently had our most successful month on record (June) during the northern hemispheres summer, and with the Australian weather warming up, it’s looking to be another great season ahead!

"We initially had difficulties with supplier delays and inflated shipping rates due to the travel bans and the major decrease in international flights.

"This was difficult to navigate at first, however, we managed to make it work.

"Our customers have been incredibly loyal, supportive and very understanding during these uncertain times - which has been very helpful," she said.
