Australian womenswear label Ena Pelly has introduced recycled plastic faux fur to its latest range.

The brand's new autumn winter 2020 collection utilises technology which chips, melts and spins plastic bottles into soft yarn.

The yarn is then used to create the brand's faux fur jackets, with each jacket made from approximately 60 plastic bottles.

Ena Pelly co-founder and creative director, Dani Pelly said that the business is highly-focused on using sustainable practices.

"At Ena Pelly we are extremely committed to doing what we can to protect what matters and know how important it is to reduce waste.

"We are focused on creating more sustainable and environmentally conscious pieces.

"Tim and I are extremely proud of the significant changes we have made in the production of our AW20 collection and working with our suppliers to create this sustainable range using cutting-edge technology has been incredibly rewarding.

"Our loyal customers have always loved our faux fur jackets and we have no doubt they will love our sustainable collection this winter," she said.

Alongside creating sustainable pieces, the brand's founders, husband and wife team Tim Wilkins and Dani Pelly, are also set to open their first standalone Ena Pelly boutique this month in Geelong, Victoria.

The collection consists of 24 recycled faux fur styles with prices ranging from $299 to $369.

Ena Pelly is currently stocked in 90 stores across Australia and New Zealand including David Jones and The Iconic.
