Target Australia has announced it will establish brand partnerships over the coming two years.

The partnerships build on its existing collaborations with designers such as Collette Dinnigan, Lisa T and Dannii Minogue.

The first brand launched under the partnership program will be New Look.

New Look operates over 1000 stores internationally, with a significant presence on the UK High Street.

Target MD Stuart Machin confirmed the brand will be available at target.com.au from October.

“The target.com.au New Look pop up shop is a trial to build on our core ranges with popular brands, our ‘future brands online business model’.

"We expect to enter into a longer term partnership, not only with New Look, but several other brands, off the back of this successful trial run - and early indicators are very positive”, Machin said.

“Our online business and being a ‘connected retailer’ are absolutely priorities for us – and our partnership with New Look is another great example of this.

“Target is responding to the changing needs and expectations of our customers by providing more choice 24 hours a day, available for collections in stores, or delivered.

“We’ve also improved our products and lowered prices across our fashion and home offerings. And now more than ever we are designing ourselves around our customers’ needs.”

Target has chosen 50 summer fashion options for the launch including tops, bottoms, jeans, dresses, a jumpsuit and a playsuit.

This will be backed up with a second drop of 26 more options towards the end of October.

Only 50 pieces per style will be offered with 30% of the range also catering to the plus-size market.
