The Legacy Responsible Fashion Summit is set to launch next month.

It will discuss responsible fashion and what it takes to be a relevant retailer in the era of transparency.

The event has been organised by ethical sourcing and sustainability consultancy Ndless: The New Normal in partnership with the Australian Fashion Council and Fashion Revolution.

A series of keynote presentations, expert panel conversations and practical breakout sessions with over 30 industry leaders will occur across two days.

Ndless: The New Normal director Melinda Tually said the summit will address current expectations for the industry in order to remain relevant.

“Legacy is aiming to go beyond conversation and encourage action.

“The expectation on the industry to address its social and environment impacts has never been greater.

“To remain relevant, the time to act is now.”

Australian Fashion Council CEO David Giles-Kaye said ethical and sustainable practice are key pillars for growth in the industry.

“The Australian Fashion Council is proud to be a presenting partner for the Legacy Summit.

“Ethical and sustainable practice in our industry is one of our five strategic growth pillars, and we believe it is important for us to support industry initiatives that are actions oriented.

“The summit is a great opportunity for industry members from across the value chain to collaboratively drive much needed change.”

It will take place in Sydney at NSW Teachers Federation Conference Centre on March 13 and 14.
