High Street retailer Sportsgirl will release its latest designer collaboration next week.
From Monday home-grown Perth talent Carly Paiker, aged 26, will see a bespoke cluster of her accessories stocked in Sportsgirl shops.
The eight piece range combines exotic, embossed leathers with stones and crystals inspired by vintage Navajo textiles.
Paiker said she has fused the richness of the shapes and patterns of tribal native American Indian textiles, with the vibrancy of colours from the desert. Materials include snake leathers and faceted hand cut stones and price points are from $40-$70.
“The prices really make my range accessible to a larger market,” Paiker said. “Normally my jewellery ranges from $110- $300, however this has been a great opportunity to introduce a larger market to my brand.”
This is the first range for Sportsgirl from Paiker and the designer said she has trawled through tanneries in Sydney, Bali and Hong Kong to source leathers – most of which originate from Italy.
Paiker said the 'absolute must have' from the collection is the Navajo pendant, in orange leather and rose gold.
