New Zealand-based menswear brand Rodd & Gunn has opened its first US store at Newport Beach, California.
The launch of the retail flagship invited around 250 VIP guests and media to a private party at Fashion Island for its unveiling.
Key design features within the store include vaulted wood beam ceilings, herringbone wood panelling and a digital backdrop with an integrated LifeCam window showcasing Rodd & Gunn's mountainside storefront in Queenstown, New Zealand.
Rodd & Gunn MD Mike Beagley said he is thrilled to make its inception into the US and put the brand on the map.
“This party was our way of bringing Rodd & Gunn’s New Zealand heritage to the great community of Newport Beach – we really wanted to celebrate and honour all the key elements of our brand and culture – from an appreciation of the outdoors and active lifestyle to highlighting the best of New Zealand ingredients and lifestyle.
“It means so much that we were able to open right here in Newport Beach – it really feels like our brand’s home away from home.”
Rodd & Gunn launched in 1987.
