An Australian property giant has made history by partnering with a firm to promote pop-up stores, or short-term retail spaces.
GPT Group has appointed start-up Popup Brands to advertise casual leasing sites across three of its shopping centres.
GPT director of new revenue John Rankin said the platform aims to make the process simple and efficient.
“Pop ups are a great way to provide our shoppers with a constant flow of new experiences and offers. We also see the potential for big savings on traditional casual leasing expenses like brochures and print advertising,” he said.
Popup Brands claimed it has connected over $250,000 worth of short-term commercial opportunities in less than a year.
These range from pop-up shops and cafes to big brand promotions or individuals looking for a space to share.
