Myer has announced another strategic board appointment as part of its continued board renewal process.
Jule Ann Morrison has been promoted to non-executive director of the board, following a similar role on the subsidiary boards of Myer.
Morrison has had extensive experience in fashion retailing and brands from the sales floor through to merchandising, buying, marketing and managing director.
She held MD roles at LVMH Group owned brand, Bulgari, in both the UK and Australia.
Morrison was also MD of FJB Australia, the then largest luxury goods company in Australia, which had retail and distribution rights for brands including Gucci, Guess, Moschino, Lanvin and Fendi.
Myer chairman-elect Garry Hounsell said the board will look to Morrison for support in the next stages of the New Myer strategy, relying on her extensive experience.
“The Board believes that as a result of her wide experience in fashion and retail Julie Ann is well placed to make a valuable contribution to the Myer Board. She will be an excellent addition to the team.”
