Vogue Australia has extended its Miss Vogue diffusion brand into a keepsake print edition and a fully enhanced companion App.

The concept first launched in September 2012 as a digital vertical of vogue.com.au, aimed at a "twenty-something" fashion audience.

The Miss Vogue App will launch on August 30, while the print edition will be available from September 2.

Miss Vogue is edited by former Oyster magazine editor Alice Cavanagh, together with Vogue Australia’s Christine Centenera as fashion director.

Cavanagh said Miss Vogue has been designed to work as a multi-platform experience across print, App, digital and social media touch points.

"It is an incredible opportunity to engage with Vogue's younger readers in a new and inspired way. It’s an entirely fresh concept in terms of content and the way in which it is being created and presented — we're really having some fun."

The Miss Vogue companion App will include feature extension to the print edition, along with the latest music releases, exclusive video content, and shareable, interactive and click-to-buy shopping pages.

Miss Vogue will feature a mix of luxury, contemporary and high street fashion and feature articles, delivered in a matte-covered collector’s edition with a defined art direction exclusive to Miss Vogue.

The Miss Vogue Australia vertical on vogue.com.au will continue as the anchor for the brand.

Vogue Australia editor-in-chief Edwina McCann said the concept has been a huge success.

"Since our launch of Miss Vogue last year, Vogue UK has launched their own Miss Vogue property which I believe to be testament to the real hunger for the product, not just in the Australian market, but globally.”
