The parent company of Metalicus and Review has defied challenging retail conditions.

PAS Group retail sales rose 13 per cent for the year ended 30 June, 2014.

Retail sales for the company grew from $114.7 million last year to $129.6 million in fiscal 2014.

This growth was attributed to the opening of 36 new retail stores and the full year impact of stores opened during fiscal 2013.

Like for like retail sales increased by 3.1 per cent, slightly below the 4.2 per cent growth forecasted.

Online sales soared, increasing 60.6 per cent on the prior corresponding period.

The e-commerce space now accounts for 5.1 per cent of retail sales for the Metalicus and Review brands.

PAS expects to grow its number of bricks and mortar stores to 275 sites by June 2015.

PAS Group also owns fashion brands Black Pepper, Designworks, Marco Polo, Yarra Trail, Fiorelli and Annapelle.

It operates 235 retail stores across Australia and New Zealand.
