Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA) will welcome back its third and largest show venue this year, after organisers consolidated site options throughout the global financial crisis.

But that's not all.

IMG Fashion will also introduce a new studio-style presentation area called 'The Box', an installation space allowing designers to present collections using live models or static objects.

It will join the The Tent, a purpose-built marquee located at central show precinct Overseas Passenger Terminal, and The Theatre in forming central on-site options.

The Tent was first axed in 2009, following the economic downturn.

IMG Fashion will also offer designers and agents a unique showroom space this year, through a series of 'pop-up suites' at the iconic Rocks precinct in Sydney.

It is understood designer applications for the event will close on Friday, 13th January with a prospectus available through mbfwadesigners@imgworld.com.
