Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia organisers have made a major appointment to their team ahead of an announcement on the event's future.
IMG Fashion has named Louise Iselin as designer relations manager for the Australian market.
Iselin, who joined the company last week, was previously head of fashion buying for online giant BuyInvite.
Iselin was present during BuyInvite's merger with Ozsale, making it a major online shopping destination within Australasia.
Prior to this, Iselin owned and operated designer boutique Capital-L.
IMG Fashion director of brand and strategy Elle Persson said Iselin will play a key role in the organisation.
"With over 12 years of relevant experience in business development, buying and retail, as well as acute understanding of the online fashion market place, Iselin is a strong compliment to the senior management team here in Australia."
IMG Fashion will unveil its plans for 2013 in coming weeks.
Earlier this year, the firm announced its intention to move Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA) from May to March.
