Australian designer brand Lover has a new direction and new creative director: Valentina Coppola.

Coppola will unveil her vision for autumn/winter 2020 at an industry breakfast next week.

Hotsprings, which acquired the label from administration in 2017, will continue to operate the brand.

Meanwhile ragtrader.com.au can reveal co-founder Nic Briand is now head of brand creative at industry giant APG&Co.

Partner and co-founder Susien Chong has taken on creative consultancy work.

At the time of announcing their departure earlier this year, Hotsprings CEO Joanne Goldman thanked the pair for their contribution to fashion.

“Nic and Susien created a much-loved fashion label. We are grateful for their passion and creativity.

"A new era for Lover will now start and we are extremely confident in the future success of this iconic Australian brand."

Lover is owned by Hotsprings, an Australia-based, family-owned fashion conglomerate based in Sydney.

Hotsprings’ stable of Australian fashion brands includes P.E. Nation, Rebecca Vallance, Cooper St Clothing, Vestire and Jasmine and Will.
