Australian womenswear designer Michael Lo Sordo has scored a global trifecta.

Fashion footwear and accessories retailer PeepToe has joined forces with the Fashion Future Global Mentor Program to sponsor Lo Sordo at London Fashion Week SS 2012.

The official mentor proceeding will commence from today until September 18, with Lo Sordo set to act as the official social media commentator and guest blogger for PeepToe.

This follows Lo Sordo's Italian runway debut as part of Milano Unica's On Stage showcase earlier this week.

Lo Sordo was chosen to represent Australia at the event, which is supported by Woolmark and aims to bring young designers in closer contact with luxury mills in Italy.

Lo Sordo presented an autumn/winter 2013 collection confined to four colourways of marble, noir, burgundy and teal.

Lo Sordo created a coated marble-dye wool and silk fabric for the range, which was pleated and draped over dresses and offset with strict, tailored, minimalist garments.

The designer was also selected to take part in the Australian Five program in January, a joint effort between Woolmark and the Australians in New York Fashion Foundation.

The program saw five local designers showcase their collections to New York press and fashion industry executives on Australia Day.
