Grace Loves Lace has introduced a new ready-to-wear capsule collection, responding to the greatest number of weddings in almost four decades.

According to the 2021 Wedding Report, 2022 will see roughly 2.5 million weddings in the US alone – the most since 1984.

This spike in nuptials is due to a combination of rescheduled 2020 and 2021 celebrations combined with the weddings of couples who became engaged during the pandemic.

Founder and creative director Megan Ziems said along with the booming number of celebrations in 2022, this year has also demonstrated unique trends when it comes to weddings.

These include large and elaborate multiple day events, destination weddings and elopements, and intimate celebrations - many breaking away from traditional nuptials.

“At Grace, we take pride in listening to and acting on the wants and needs of our brides, and with an increased number of women requesting ready-to-wear along with the predictions of the 2022 wedding boom, we knew our next collection needed to cater to these Grace brides,” Ziems said.

In addition to the unconventional wedding trends, 2022 has also seen shorter planning times with couples fast-tracking nuptials after two years of uncertainty.

Ziems said the brand is catering to this move, as brides do not fit within standard made-to-order gown lead times.

The new capsule, titled ‘Bisou Bisou’, includes two signature gowns (Valentina and Carmen) and a statement embellished veil (Celestial Veil) dispatched within three to five days of the order being placed.

“Being locally designed, produced and manufactured, allows us to be nimble and respond quickly to predictions and trends and this is something that sets us apart from our competitors,” Ziems said.

During the last 12 months, the company has seen a 23% growth in revenue, and now has a fleet of 22 showrooms globally with two more opening before September.

Bisou Bisou is available in sizes XS to 2XL and with dresses priced at $2800.
