Iconic denim and lifestyle brand Gap will launch its localised arm through David Jones this September.

Its summer 2016 collection will be available to purchase via the department store's ecommerce business spanning womenswear, menswear and kidswear as well as its latest activewear category GapFit.

Gap launched in Australia in 2010 and secured a franchise license under OrotonGroup.

It operates six stores across Melbourne and Sydney.
