David Jones has launched the spring/summer 2022 season with a runway show at its Sydney flagship store.

The event included a range of fashion industy guests and celebrities, including former politician Julie Bishop, MJ Bale founder Matt Jensen, Alemais founder Lesleigh Jermanus and P.E Nation co-founders Pip Edwards and Claire Tregoning.

The runway show was themed around David Jones' joint venture with Destination Canada and Qantas, with the set including mountain scapes, waterfalls and florals.  

Designer brands such as Aje, Bassike, Carla Zampatti, Bianca Spender, Alémais, Balmain and Scanlan Theodore were featured as part of the collections' launch. 

This was accompanied by new brands which have recently joined the David Jones portfolio including The Attico, Tom Ford, Matteau and Sarah-Jane Clarke.

Menswear brands on the runway included Australian designers like COMMAS, Calibre, Politix and premium international designers such as Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Casablanca, MSGM and Hugo Boss.
