Fashion retailer Forever New has announced two generous scholarships as part of its partnership with RMIT.

The program debuted last year with the inaugural scholarship awarded to Ballarat-raised Anna Pipkorn.

Two scholarships have been awarded this year to students Amber Reese and Lauren Trend.

The pair will join Forever New on a 12-month employment contract after completion of their final year of studies.

Each student will also receive AUD$20,000 towards their university fees and expenses, in addition to an overseas trend research trip with the senior creative team during their first year of employment.

Forever New co-founder Amanda Goenka said this is an important program for the business.

"We have a strong desire to support local talent and provide opportunities for entry into the fashion industry.

"We are fortunate to have our global headquarters in Melbourne and it is very exciting to be in a position to support these gifted young Victorian women.

"Like Anna, they have worked hard to achieve excellence throughout their degree and we look forward to welcoming both
Lauren and Amber into our creative team in 2016."

Last year's winner Anna Pipkorn currently holds the position of assistant designer at Forever New.

She will soon embark on her trip to Paris with the creative team.

"I feel extremely privileged to have come into my first job at such a wonderful company, with a team who make every day inspiring.

"In such a big company I find it incredible how all departments and teams work collaboratively to create amazing outcomes.

"The company is exciting and fast paced, we are constantly working on new designs, looking for inspiration and developing
new fabrics and ideas."

In addition to her daily design input with the team, she is also working on her own Forever New capsule collection that will launch in stores later this year.
