Luxury Australian shoe brand, Phare has launched a new collection inspired by the  party scene of the 1980’s.

Featuring luxurious silk satin and soft metallic leather, the collection includes a nod to the punk era with electric gold and blue conical studs.

The brand is headed by Petrina Hare, a former product and accessories designer for Scanlan Theodore and Mimco.

Hare said she was frustrated at the lack of affordable Italian handcrafted footwear available.

Hare searched Milan and Bologna before finding a shoe craftsman just outside of Florence.

The fifth generation shoemakers also make product for some of the top luxury brands, including Chanel and Jimmy Choo.

“I wanted to create something that was unique, comfortable and affordable for an Italian handcrafted shoe,” Hare said.

Phare’s key season colours include jade green, saturated fuchsia pink and sky blue with key styles including cage-like studded straps and crystals.

The collection consists of five distinct shoe profiles: the mule, loafer, pointed slim heel stiletto, classic heel boot and block heel boot.

Phare is available online at www.PHARE.com.au, with the new collection dropping from February 2018.

The collection retails between $450 and $750.
