Sports warehouse retailer, Decathlon Australia, is set to open its fifth retail store in Moorabbin in Melbourne in the coming months.

The business, which first began retail operations in Australia in 2017, has also made improvements to its Australian online offering, launching a new website, equipped with improved capabilities.

Decathlon Australia CEO, Olivier Robinet, said that the Australian market has responded well to Decathlon.

"Aussies love the Decathlon concept. They love how we’re disrupting the market with our unrivalled services and range.

"We’ve already opened four stores in Sydney and Melbourne within 12 months, and I’m delighted to announce that a new one is already under construction at Moorabbin in Melbourne.

"After a six-month investment, last week we launched our brand new website in order to make it smoother and easier for consumers to shop with us. We now have our two hours free click-and-collect and national delivery options, plus free delivery over $80.

"We are constantly improving our business model and we are on the right track in order to open new warehouses in 2020," he said.

The business is also expanding its product range, recently announcing the introduction of affordable snow and ski range, Wed'ze, to Australian consumers.
